Brian serves InvestTrek Capital with a deep knowledge of corporate structure, finance and legal knowledge which he uses to help identify opportunities and guide strategy. He is a seasoned professional with over 30 years’ experience working at the top end of the financial and management consultant industries. With a long and distinguished career, he is an expert in strategic planning, operations, corporate finance, valuation, mergers and acquisitions, and complex financial structuring.
Starting in 2002, Brian served as a Senior Managing Director and Chairman of the Litigation and Expert Services practice at Development Specialists, Inc. (“DSI”). DSI is a management consulting firm with offices across the United States providing corporate finance, operational and financial restructuring, forensic accounting, litigation support, expert testimony, and third-party fiduciary services. Prior to this engagement, Brian held management positions at LEK Consulting, General Binding Corporation, Trek Corporation and Arthur Anderson.
Throughout his career, Brian has performed engagements in connection with acquisitions, divestitures, minority and controlling investments, joint ventures, settlement agreements, plan confirmation matters and determining the value impact of various strategic operating and financing decisions. He has performed analyses over a broad range of industries and markets and has provided expert testimony in solvency and valuation matters. He is proud to be a regular on the lecture circuit, speaking at several graduate schools of business in the areas of finance and creating shareholder value.
Brian has an undergraduate degree from Indiana University Bloomington, and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He currently lives in Los Angeles.
